Shell Account

All CIS students are entitled to a shell account on tEddie, which they may use for coursework, or for file sharing.

    Your shell account comes with:

  • 200MB access space with FTP access
  • Personal Web Space: http://www.socis.ca/~yourname
  • Full remote access to linux applications via
    • SSH /w X-forwarding

    • SVN

To get your shell account, simply send an email to admin@socis.ca requesting such from your uoguelph email. You need to include your full name in the email for our user information.
