Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that our new newsletter mailing list service is up and running! Throughout the year, we'll send newsletters out announcing all the exciting activities SOCIS is running the services we offer, so I encourage everyone to sign up!

A page on the site for subscribing/unsubscribing? Please make it transparent and easy to unsubscribe; that's the thing I hate most about mailing lists.

Well once you're subscribed,
Well once you're subscribed, the subscribe button turns into an unsubscribe button. I would think we'll also have a link to help you unsubscribe included somewhere in each newsletter sent out as I think we've done in the past.

So i try to subscribe and i get : The e-mail address you supplied is not valid.
Huh?
Will there also be a page
Will there also be a page where you can subscribe with an additional email address, or a substitute? Someone might want to use an email address that isn't their @uoguelph.ca account.

If you're not logged in it
If you're not logged in it lets you choose another email address, but if you do it that way you have to do the whole confirmation email thing.
