hp driver issue

ok so i just got an hp photosmart c3180 all-in-one... problem is vista is doing something strange... every time i turn the printer off it uninstalls the drivers meaning when i turn it back on, i have to wait a minute to do anything with it while it reinstalls the drivers... aside from the obvious choice of switching back to xp or ubuntu or whatever, does anybody else know a way to fix this?

Vista Problems
Bah hahaha, Aaron, you work with me at Staples. You should've seen the Vista move causing problems AGES ago.
Anyway, in all seriousness, why turn off the printer? Mine never goes off, and printers don't eat up power unless they're actually doing something. Fix == Just leave it on?
Other than that, best I can tell you (from what I've seen at Stooples) is to go to HP's website, download the most recent driver, and pray.

1) already running the
1) already running the newest drivers...
2) already discovered this fix... its just annoying and a weird problem(do u think its the driver telling itself to uninstall, or vista uninstalling the driver?)...
3) i think the fact that i work at staples basically proves i know nothing... i want that message to spread...
oh and this is a question for randall... u ever notice that everybody over the age of 40 calls it "the vista"? i love that...
"The Vista"
Oh... it's so true... hahaha. Silly old people.
"I need a UBS cable for my Lesmarck CPU. The monitor cable from my old printer doesn't fit in the new MDG [model number of a big piece of CRAP] I bought. Y'know, the one with The Vista, and runs on the new fangled dual processor power machine in my hard drive."
Because I NEVER get tired of listening about how fast their HARD DRIVE runs "The Vista".
I have a great story for you about a nice gentleman who decided to educate me on how the Internet really works, and how the CIA watches every single network connection in the world, connected to the net or not, off of a "supercomputer mainframe" in England. Sigh.

HP Update
Likely HP, and they do automatic updates each time you connect to the Internets, so I'm not surprised. Happy for you, though.

you should be... i can
you should be... i can honestly say that after telling hundreds of unsuspecting people that i'd never had a problem with HP... ive finally found an HP printer that is completely junk... i mean theres nothing really "wrong" with it... its just that it doesnt really do anything really well... print quality is blah... scanning is garbage... copying is blah... good thing it cost me like 70$ and came with a camera... the camera was junk too though and i gave it away... hmmmm maybe not such a great purchase after all... stupid HP... tell andreas its his fault
